Baka Dakedo Chinchin Shaburu no dake wa Jouzu na Chii-chan♡

Spending the summer alone — family stuff, complicated — is how Muroto Kouta ends up running into his classmate Chii-chan at a convenience store. She's well-known around school, partly for her figure and partly for being surprisingly open about her personal life. Kouta assumes someone like her is completely out of his league, which is a reasonable assumption. Then she smiles at him, and things get interesting. That's essentially the setup for this two-episode OVA from T-Rex, based on a visual novel. It's a short, self-contained story that moves quickly without a lot of buildup — you get the characters, you get the situation, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. The character expressions are genuinely one of the highlights here; there's real personality in how Chii-chan is drawn, which makes her feel less like a prop and more like an actual presence in the story. If you've watched something like Aneki My Sweet Elder Sister or Resort Boin and appreciated that blend of light humor with intimate scenes, this hits a similar note. It's not trying to be a deep character study — it knows what it is and delivers on that without padding. Two episodes, summer setting, classmates with unexpected chemistry. Sometimes that's all you need.
