READTHROUGH
Kondoroi's Promise
The episode opens not with characters, but with an advertisement for Kondoroi medication. Elderly people smile, radiating a manufactured happiness. Text flashes across the screen, detailing product information and a phone number. "I definitely want to try it!" an Elderly woman exclaims, her voice cheerful, as legal disclaimers fill the final frames.
The Rumor Spreads
The classroom buzzes with whispers. Yuu overhears fragments, catching the name Suzuka. His brow furrows as the rumor solidifies into fact: she's transferring. He seeks out Atori, his urgency clear in his eyes, sharing the news.
Atori's Resolve
Atori reacts with a quiet intensity, her initial shock giving way to determination. "We can't let her go," she states, her voice firm. She knows Suzuka well, understanding the hidden anxieties that might be driving this decision. The thought of losing their friend galvanizes her.
Brainstorming Solutions
Atori and Yuu huddle, throwing out ideas. They consider grand gestures, logical arguments, but quickly realize these won't sway Suzuka. "It has to be about how she feels," Atori concludes, recognizing that Suzuka's reasons are likely rooted deeper than practicalities.
The Awkward Confrontation
They find Suzuka at her locker, her posture already hinting at a desire to distance herself. Yuu blurts out their concerns, his words jumbled. Atori tries a softer approach, but Suzuka deflects, offering vague excuses about family and new opportunities. Her gaze avoids theirs.
A Moment of Doubt
Later, defeated, Yuu questions if they can really make a difference. "Maybe it's for the best," he mutters, though his expression betrays his true feelings. Atori shakes her head. "No," she says, "not if she's unhappy." Her resolve hasn't wavered, even as doubt creeps into their efforts.
The Heartfelt Plea
They find Suzuka again, this time choosing a quiet spot. Atori speaks first, not with arguments, but with shared memories, recalling moments of laughter and support. Yuu adds his own heartfelt words, reminding Suzuka of their bond and what she means to them. "We'll miss you," he says simply, "and we want you here."
Suzuka's Tears
Suzuka listens, her stoic facade crumbling. Her eyes well up, and a single tear escapes. She doesn't speak immediately, the weight of their words settling over her. Her face changes, not just tears, but something deeper, a recognition of love she hadn't anticipated.
The Decision
After a long pause, Suzuka nods slowly, a tentative smile gracing her lips. "I... I won't go," she whispers, her voice thick with emotion. Atori and Yuu embrace her, a silent celebration of their restored friendship. The relief on their faces is palpable.
EPISODE REVIEWS
And so, we've reached the finale. 🥹 It's always sad to reach the end of a fun slice-of-life show when you loved the characters and their relationships. The show really is a fun mix of comedy, chaos, and wholesomeness. A good episode and a great way to wrap up the season!
yuu is such a loser nerd lesbian with those random facts she rambles on every now and then lmao.im quite satisfied with the ending focusing back on Yuu and Suzu but im somewhat craving for more! i might check on the manga and see if this series still continues from there on >:))) ive grown quite attached to these queer characters heheh
