I’ll admit I was completely thrown off by how wildly bizarre the premise of this one was. Suddenly the episode turn into a weird sci-fi fairy tale about “pretty boys,” but somehow it worked. The episode balanced absurd comedy with surprisingly dark ideas better than I expected, and Shu keeps proving he’s the most dangerous brain in the room. Weirdly entertaining.
Our first episode with a darker theme than usual, but rather than a plot critical point, it mainly shows Arrow and Shu Bi chemistry and team work as now that they're working together against Rekka. Solid filler episode.
It’s amusing to see Shu Bi show off, while this episode focuses on helping weaker characters build confidence. Sometimes a harsh reality is needed for that growth. I still find the chief of Edger perplexing, despite Arrow's efforts, he keeps doubting him. Hopefully, there's more development on that front soon!
