This episode is all about the royal bloodline's tragic fate.

the political intrigue in this arc is peak writing, every reveal about the true king hits different. historia's character development from a background character to someone who has to face her entire bloodline is genuinely one of the best arcs in anime

Great fight scenes all around with the scouts. The power of the royal bloodline merging with the founding titan surely is something that they would really want given it could connect history.

Rod is giving this whole speech about how Historia can become the Founding Titan, destroy all Titans, save humanity, blah blah blah. And for a minute you're like... wait is she actually gonna do it?? The tension is INSANE because you genuinely don't know where her loyalties lies

Once again, the animation and the fight between the Scouts and Kenny’s group were absolutely amazing! Historia’s reunion with her father also made me question everything, why is he only reaching out to her now? The next episode is bound to be chaotic, so don’t miss it!

Zachary is actually a madman, the way he roughed up that noble is sickening, i can't help but laugh at his insanity. Man and the way Historia threw her father! That was MAD.

Episode 7 shows hope and tragedy colliding as the Scouts’ emotional decisions lead to massive consequences, pushing everyone closer to breaking point.

The character development for Historia here is absolute peak. The animation for the transformation is massive and intimidating. Chills everywhere during the stand off. The voice acting is raw and powerful.

From the very first scene the episode delivers with a beautifully animated fight that is both stunning and hauntingly dark. It is elevated further by a powerful soundtrack, during the scene Historia rejects her father after uncovering the Reiss family’s devastating contradiction.

Levi’s Elite Squad just had their first blood! I admire their conviction in saving Eren and Historia. ✨ The music perfectly suited the scene, making it even more intense. I also loved how Historia stood up for herself. Girl power! ♥️

Historia's character development is really intense. The scene where she reunites with her father is super emotional. Definitely watch for the dramatic standoffs and transformations.

people who say the uprising arc is boring are watching with their eyes closed. the political thriller angle is exactly what makes AoT special, not every good episode needs to have titan fights. this one kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time

the uprising arc really hits its stride here, the whole conspiracy around the true royal bloodline and rod reiss is so well executed. every conversation feels like it matters and the tension just keeps building. this is where AoT proves it's more than just titan fights

Smoke, blades, betrayal. While Levi clashes with Kenny, the real battle is ideology. Eren begs to be eaten. Rod preaches inherited “peace.” And Historia? She shatters fate itself. Rejecting a century of control, she chooses freedom over godhood, birthing a nightmare instead.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 7 of 12, 'Wish' functions as the climactic fulcrum of the Uprising arc — everything revealed in 'Sin' about the Reiss family and Eren's captivity converges into a decisive confrontation. The fallout from this episode directly propels the narrative into 'Outside the Walls of Orvud District,' shifting the conflict from underground politics to a large-scale external threat. This is the turning point where Season 3 pivots from conspiracy thriller to full-scale action for its back half.
