Episode Context

Episode 3 shifts from the general school-life antics of the first two episodes into a sports-focused format, giving the ensemble cast a structured competitive scenario to bounce off each other. It deepens character dynamics, particularly rivalries between Eren, Jean, and the Titan students, that the series continues to mine for comedy throughout its twelve-episode run. This early placement establishes the show's pattern of using familiar school events as vehicles for its parody humor.
