A confusing episode., doubting it's a different anime. The plot, characters, and settings were far more different on what the last season ended. But the animation was still amazing!

This episode i feels like the gritty, war-torn graphics of Fort Slava are elite. The peak moment is the "Titan rain" airstrike by Zeke and Reiner. i feels like the shift to Marley's perspective is a bold, genius move.

I was first very confused because everything looked unusual and different. However, as the episode went on, it started to make sense. The world seemed far bigger at the time because of the intense war scenes.

A jarring perspective shift throws viewers into Marley's world, initially confusing but brilliantly executed. MAPPA's stunning animation, especially the titans, combines with gripping tension and profound themes of propaganda and false freedom. The world suddenly feels massive.

Seeing the shift in perspective was brilliant. Seeing the war through the eyes of the candidates left a deep impression on me. The how MAPPA animated the Jaw and Armored titan left me in awe. This made me see that there is a much larger world beyond the walls.

I remember watching this season for the first time. The nostalgia. THis anime completely exceeds my imagination. I remember the headaches i got from Binge watching this anime. The Faith of the Eldians is really a sad story.

I won’t lie, as a season opener, this can feel like whiplash. New casts new setting, its a bit confusing if you ask me. With the final conflict looming, it’s obvious that the Founding Titan is going to play a big part. it’ll be interesting to see what happens next. A fantastic op

A whole new perspective drop‑kicks you into the deep end. The vibe shift is massive, the tension is high, and the world suddenly feels way bigger than the walls ever were. Absolutely gripping opener.

The story suddenly shifts to Marley, showing the war from the other side. It’s strange at first, but it quickly adds depth by making the supposed enemies feel human.

MAPPA still amaze us again with their great animations! I was lost at first with the 1st episode but still it was amazing to start off such a finale arc! Introduced new characters too! A must watch episode!

Attack on titan's world building is top tier. On this particular episode, we see how deep Marleyan propaganda has turned Eldian Children to turn against their own race in exchange for a false sense of freedom. It's exciting to see how this will be an emotional conflict for Gabi.

After the war from the last season, we saw Eren glaring at the other side of the sea in the end. Why is that? This season will show us why as we will be able to look what's beyond. We will see brand new characters from this episode. I also noticed they changed the animation.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the premiere of the 16-episode Final Season, this episode represents a hard narrative pivot from Season 3 Part 2's revelations about the world beyond the walls, now placing viewers directly inside Marley's perspective. It establishes the new cast, geopolitical stakes, and ideological tensions that will drive the entire season forward. Everything introduced here—the Warrior candidates, the military hierarchy, the simmering resentments—serves as essential groundwork for the escalating conflict to come.
