Well, this was a heartwarming episode. It's lovely to see a bit more of Ren and Wakabayashi's past and the affection they have for each other. They're complex characters with flaws, but endearing flaws. On the other hand, we see Aoi blossom as a person, and at least her involvement in the unnecessary love triangle ends in a satisfying way. I'm still not convinced by the romance between Mira and Miyasaka because, as the story progresses, it seems that what Mira truly loves is planet Earth and the lifestyle she has there. Miyasaka feels like just an extension of that.
I love how the quirky tenants always disrupt the romance at the perfect moment. Peak fiction.
The tension between Takumi and Mira reaches an all time high, and I was genuinely on the edge of my seat during that kitchen scene.
