Episode Context

Arriving at episode 18 of 50, this installment follows directly from the introduction of Pluto, one of Astro Boy's most formidable robot opponents, and escalates that conflict by bringing in Acheron, a ruthless counterpart who strips away any ambiguity about robot morality. It marks a tonal pivot for the season, shifting from individual robot-of-the-week encounters toward a sustained examination of artificial intelligence, consciousness, and ethics that will define the show's second act.
