A fitting end to the season. The final confrontation is as big as you would expect and the character resolutions feel earned. Iona's moment with Kongou near the end is the emotional highlight of the whole series.
The sci-fi elements is turned up to 11 and the action reaches an entirely new level. This is easily the most flashy episode of the series and it is quite fitting considering that it serves as the final episode. Compared to the past episodes, the CGI and animation are noticeably polished, delivering some of the best visual moments in the series. Considering the story has deviated from the manga, the conclusion feels somewhat lacking. Many mysteries remain unanswered, particularly regarding the side of the Fleet of Fog, the Admiralty Code and their origins leaving some aspects of the story feeling incomplete.P.S. After finishing the anime, I would recommend watching the movie (there are 2 movies so start with this one), as it provides an alternative conclusion and offers a different perspective on how the story could have ended. The OG source which is the manga is still ongoing but it is on hiatus since 2024.
what an amazing finale episode !! the opera singer at the background while kongo's transformation was revealed to everyone was such a great intro to this episode !!! DAMN this was a feast for my eyes !!!
