Episode Context

Following 'Flesh and Stone,' where a key suspect is taken off the board but the killings of the Thirds remain unsolved, this episode deepens the conspiracy and raises the stakes considerably. Positioned third in a four-episode run, 'Heart Core' functions as the true turning point, the moment the investigation pivots from pursuit to revelation. It directly sets the stage for the finale, 'Bit of Love,' where all remaining threads are expected to converge.
