📖 SYNOPSIS

Set in a suburban town near a mountain forest, "Ao Oni The Animation" follows a high school folklore research club. Seeking ideas for their culture festival, the club discovers old research notes from a former member, detailing a legend similar to the free game "Ao Oni." They decide to use the game as their theme and manage to meet the game's creator. However, the creator soon dies under mysterious circumstances. While investigating the creator's death at their school, the club members find themselves locked inside. Now, they must unravel the mystery surrounding the legend and the creator's demise while trapped within the school's ominous walls. The film promises a return to the mystery horror roots of the original game, offering a new story distinct from previous adaptations.
