Ashito has to learn positioning, reading the field, understanding what his teammates like Ohtomo and Tachibana need from him before they even call for the ball. His biggest opponent isn't some rival striker — it's his own tendency to play selfishly. The animation from TMS Entertainment holds up well during match sequences, and the pacing respects the seinen demographic it's written for. There's real weight to the setbacks. If you liked the competitive intensity of Blue Lock but wanted something grounded in actual team play rather than ego battles, this scratches that itch.
