Kuroda asking Fukuda to pull them out of the drill hit way harder than any loss could. Knowing you are the one dragging the practice down and saying it out loud anyway takes something. Ashito's grin in that restroom after was the perfect response to it.

Togashi getting grouped with the regulars while Ashito sits in the B group is such a quiet knife. Nobody says anything about it either. He just has to watch his old teammate run with the big kids

I could not stop grinning at that final shot of Ashito splashing water on his face then breaking into that crazy smile. Most shows would play that as defeat. He's just excited he got to see it

I had to wait too long for this GOAT

As someone who couldn't be less into football, I was a little worried going into this episode since it's been a while since I saw season one and maybe it'd be a lot more dull than I was expecting. However, I was very pleasantly surprised watching this episode because I heavily enjoyed myself. Our main character now officially moves up to the A team and then engage in some training drills, and my jaw was on the floor because it's intense as all hell. If this is the vibe we're going to be going for in the rest of the season, I think I'll find myself enjoying it. The character dynamics are already starting to shift slightly, so one can only imagine just how much intense things might get the further into the series.

I guess how they are going to respond to challenges is what the coach is looking for, aside of trying to better their skill. Butttt why does Team A starters seem like jerks, although they may change their attitude in the future just like normal sports anime. Akkutsu was busy being triggered by each little thing(he seemed insecured)
