Ano Ko no Kawari ni Suki na Dake

Akio looks like the complete package — handsome, kind, hardworking, exactly the kind of man you'd want your daughter to marry. But while Minako is sorting through her daughter's things one afternoon, she stumbles onto something unexpected, and then Akio walks in and mistakes her for his wife. That awkward moment cracks open something neither of them was looking for: Akio has been feeling seriously neglected, and Minako is suddenly very aware of that fact. This 2-episode OVA from Blue bread, based on the manga, leans fully into the tension of that setup without pretending the situation is anything other than what it is — a taboo, morally complicated encounter between two people who probably shouldn't be anywhere near each other in this context. The story doesn't really try to justify itself; it just puts the situation in front of you and lets the discomfort and desire exist side by side.
