A bittersweet ending. That last line from Gilbert was so sad that Anne's face says it all. The plot was melancholic, as the title said, "Things will change eventually," and it was so gloomy that this series is also nearing its end. The sceneries were cinematic as is, but the animation when Diana left off was rather weird.
