Episode Context

Coming off the fallout of 'Diana is Invited to Tea,' where Anne and Diana's friendship is strained by a memorable misunderstanding, this episode focuses on the healing process and Anne's reintegration into school life and the social fabric of Avonlea. It serves as a bridge episode, letting emotional consequences breathe before the story shifts gears into 'Anne Rescues Minnie May,' which raises the stakes considerably and marks a turning point in how the community sees Anne.
