Episode Context

Coming off 'Anne's Confession,' where Anne reckons with her own missteps and accountability, this episode marks a meaningful shift outward, from private struggle to public life. School becomes the next frontier for Anne's integration into Avonlea society, expanding her world beyond Green Gables and the Cuthberts. It directly sets up episodes like 'A Tempest in Class,' where the social and emotional stakes of her school relationships begin to sharpen considerably.
