Anju to Zushioumaru

📖 SYNOPSIS

Anju and Zushio's lives are shattered when their father's dispute with local military men forces them to flee. Captured and sold into slavery, they face unimaginable hardship. Their mother's death deepens their despair, leading them to the clutches of Sansho the Bailiff, a man known for his cruelty and horrific torments.

While enduring this suffering, Anju is transformed into a swan after falling into a lake. Zushio, however, manages to escape. He is adopted by a nobleman and grows into a young man. Driven by a desire for justice, he prepares to confront the evil Dayu and liberate the enslaved. The story explores themes of resilience, the fight against oppression, and the enduring bond between siblings.
