Shizuka was Kosuke's childhood friend — a sweet, gentle girl he admired before she moved away when they were kids. In his memory, she was sweet, gentle, and someone he admired. Thirteen years later, she transfers back into his high school life — and she is nothing like he remembered. Shizuka has spent those years becoming genuinely terrifying, a brawl-hardened fighter who handles problems with her fists. Kosuke, meanwhile, has grown in a very different direction: timid, cowardly, and a little too focused on the girls around him. The reunion they probably both imagined as kids does not go quite that way. What unfolds is a one-episode OVA from 1990 that leans hard into the comedy of two people who built up expectations about each other and got something completely different. The humor comes from the gap between who they were and who they became, and the chaotic push-pull of figuring out what this reconnection even means now. It is short, blunt, and does not take itself seriously at all. If you have seen B Gata H Kei and enjoyed watching awkward, hormone-driven characters fumble through their own embarrassing impulses, there is a familiar energy here. Fans of Golden Boy's brand of comedic pervert-protagonist writing will also find something recognizable. It is not trying to be deep. It is a quick, youthful slice of early-90s high school comedy with mature content attached — exactly what it looks like, nothing more.
