Episode Context

Following 'Lonely Puppet,' which established Jiro's origins and his uneasy introduction to Dr. Komyoji's children, this episode deepens the emotional foundation the series needs before external threats escalate. It builds the relational dynamics between Jiro and his human companions that the rest of the season will test and complicate. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into 'Stray Sheep,' where Jiro's evolving sense of self will face more tangible pressure.
