a rather weak case closed episode. the buildup was kinda too slow to make it dramatic. despite that it was a pretty good writing if we don't really include the fact this anime is trying to do a mystery with medical touch

Episode Context

This is the finale of the three-episode 'Spontaneous Human Combustion' arc that began in Episode 4, with Episode 5's 'Crimson Curse of the Sorcerer' laying critical groundwork for the resolution here. Sitting at the exact halfway mark of the 12-episode season, it provides closure on lingering questions while effectively resetting the board. Episode 7, 'Prescribed Poison,' launches an entirely new case, making this a clean entry point to evaluate whether the show's mystery structure is working for you.
