Synopsis
For years, Shota Tendo has quietly admired his boss, Yui Yamanobe, the kind of crush you never act on because the stakes feel too high. Then a business trip booking error puts them in the same hotel room, and for a moment it feels like the universe is handing him something. But instead of a romantic turn, Shota ends up lying in bed pretending to be asleep while Yui gets intimate with another man right next to him. Yeah. That's the premise, and it hits exactly as hard as you think it does. This is a hentai OVA adapted from a light novel, produced by New Generation, and it leans heavily into the emotional gut-punch of unrequited love colliding with reality. The corporate setting grounds everything: these aren't fantasy characters in some abstract world, they're coworkers navigating messy, uncomfortable human dynamics. There's a rawness to Shota's situation that makes it genuinely affecting despite the genre. The animation pays close attention to facial expressions and body language, which sells the internal conflict. If the emotional weight of something like 5 Centimeters per Second resonated with you, that feeling of watching love slip away in real time, this explores similar territory through a very different lens. And if Koe no Katachi showed you how anime can make emotional pain feel physical, this one operates in that same space, just without the redemption arc. It's uncomfortable, it's intense, and it doesn't look away.

nothing about that business trip was okay and seeing her give in like that was absolutely soul crushing
I thought I could handle this genre but this was way too much for me and I feel sick. Watching the person he looks up to get treated like that right in front of him while he was stuck in the next bed was just plain cruel and I hate that I watched the whole thing through to the end without turning it off
hearing the protagonist stuck there listening to everything is enough to make anyone feel physically ill, it was way too much for one episode
that hotel scene is genuinely the most repulsive thing and nobody should ever have to see that kind of betrayal
scrubbing those images of the boss in that hotel room out of your head is going to be impossible after seeing her treated like that
that hotel scene was beyond messed up and the way that guy acted was purely evil so it is time to drop this
nobody can say that watching the main character suffer like that is entertainment and it was just a miserable experience
this episode is an abomination and the people behind this need to realize how messed up that bedroom scene actually was
seeing the boss get treated like that by such a scummy character was hard to sit through and it just felt wrong
I had to turn this off halfway through because the whole setup with the business trip beds was way too much and it just made me sad
the animation is okay, but the story is so dark that it makes you feel bad for the protagonist and his boss the whole time
that was completely disgusting to watch and the way the boss just gets taken right next to him is actually sickening
watching that scumbag do that was the most gut wrenching thing and nobody should ever have to see something this disturbing
I actually feel traumatized after finishing this first episode, and I really regret clicking on it because that guy was a total monster and I was expecting something spicy but this just felt cruel to the main character and his boss and watching them stuck in that room while that scummy guy took advantage of the situation made me want to throw up
I felt physically sick watching that guy ruin everything in the hotel room and I really hope the main character gets some kind of revenge soon because this was just pure trash
there is no way anyone likes this because seeing her suffer like that was just painful and it felt like a total violation of her character and her trust and hope remains for some kind of ending where she gets to make him pay for everything he did to her in that room because it was hard to watch
the way he just took advantage of the situation in the hotel was disgusting, and it makes you want to see her get some kind of revenge soon
seeing her cry like that was too much and nobody should have to go through that kind of betrayal from someone they were supposed to trust
i felt so sick watching her get treated like an object in that hotel room and my stomach actually turned when he started acting like it was all fine
