This was one of my favorite episodes ever. I've watched a lot of anime, but this episode was special because it focused on a video game competition and one of my favorite video games. Everything was exciting, and the final showdown and ending were absolutely fantastic. A truly memorable episode.
This Episode really takes me back when i did competitive arcade gaming especially street fighter.
A brilliant plot centering on Street Fighter-style competitive arcade culture. Visuals are a nostalgic treat, switching smoothly between the standard anime art style and retro 2D pixel-art fighting engine interfaces. The soundtrack mimics classic 16-bit arcade chip-tunes to build adrenaline. Specific Moment: Tamotsu frantically executing a highly technical input command, his fingers animated in a comical blur over the arcade cabinet buttons.
