Tatsumi going up against that giant Golden Mech was some straight-up Power Rangers on steroids type of stuff. It’s flashy and epic, but the ending of the fight actually broke me. The way the citizens reacted... I wasn't ready. This show is just a marathon of pain at this point.

The animation here was unprecedented. The giant Teigu felt massive and overwhelming. The pacing here was intense as Tatsumi pushed his Teigu to its limit just to stop the Emperor. This episode made me really proud of Tatsumi as he is really a heroic and just character.

Deep-rooted corruption is explained in this episode. Everyone came together to fight for the cause they believe in - this thing I liked the most about this episode. Although the legendary Imperial Arms felt rather overpowered. The pace and flow also seemed quite fast here.

From the first episode to the 23rd, Tatsumi has shouldered hopes, expectation and dreams of the people closest to him. They made their sacrifice for the future, now it's his turn to do the same. Mad respect.

The final confrontation with the empire approaches as massive forces collide. Strategies are set, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Everything begins building toward the ultimate showdown.

PEAK! Loved the fight scene and the dynamic between Tatsumi and Wave. I love the action choreography, the emotion, the stakes, and principles that they desperately fight for. And the ending? Calling it unexpected is an understatement.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 23 is the penultimate chapter of a 24-episode run, serving as the explosive climax before the series finale. Following Episode 22's escalating tensions and tested alliances, this episode channels every remaining thread into the Revolutionary Army's final push against the Empire. It exists solely to set the stage for Episode 24's conclusion, where the fates of every surviving character will be sealed.
