The Jaegers are hunting them down like animals and the tension is insane. Chelsea’s backstory is actually really sad and explains why she’s so cynical. You can tell a massive collision is coming. It’s one of those episodes where you’re just waiting for the shoe to drop.

This was a good debut for Kurome and her Teigu. The animation here were fluid, even the movements were sharp. The pacing is fast and intense, splitting the team into duels across the forest. I like how Kurome felt so op with her puppets overwhelming the group.

The action is so engaging in this episode. Although their political philosophies are different, both parties collided with each other with the same aspiration. The animation only complements the overall swift pace here. On the other hand, the battle sequence felt great too.

So far, this the only episode we have that fully features fight scene the whole time. Pace is nice, animation-wise it's above the average considering the year this anime was aired in. Great episode overall.

Behind-the-scenes manipulation starts becoming clearer as the story focuses on people pulling the strings. During a tense confrontation, it becomes obvious that not every enemy fights on the front lines. A truly intriguing developing episode.

Intense Clash between members of the Night Raid and Jaegers, focuses on the risks and dangers both for the protagonists and antagonists. Cool fight scenes and strategic battles.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of a 24-episode run, this episode escalates the Night Raid versus Jaegers conflict from skirmishes into direct, high-stakes warfare, building on the momentum from the religious organization arc. The confrontation with Kurome and Bols is a pivotal turning point that tightens the tension between both factions and sets the stage for 'Kill the Curse,' where the consequences of this battle will reverberate through the remainder of the series.
