This episode feels like a new beginning for Hiromi. The scenes with Katsura and the legendary rivals create a powerful feeling of challenge and growth.

This was such a strong episode! Hiromi’s journey takes a serious turn as she faces new expectations and tougher competition. I loved seeing how Reika, Ranko, and Katsura add more intensity to the story without losing the emotional side of Hiromi’s character.

This episode leans heavily into pure melodrama. Instead of focusing on the actual game it spends most of its time on deep inner thoughts, long dramatic pauses and intense facial close-ups.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 9, 'Court Covered in Wounds,' where Hiromi's physical and emotional limits were pushed to the edge, this episode redirects that accumulated tension toward new adversaries who force a different kind of reckoning. At Episode 10 of 13, the series is deep in its endgame setup, these rival confrontations are laying the dramatic groundwork for the decisive battles that will carry the story to its conclusion.
