Episode Context

The title says it all. Kuzuryu High's ragtag basketball squad finally steps onto the court for their first real practice match, and the energy shifts completely. After three episodes of recruitment drama and team formation, Episode 4 delivers the payoff with an actual game against Shinmaruko High. Expect underdog tension at full throttle. The pacing is fast and match-driven, channeling the nervous electricity of a team that barely knows how to function together facing opponents who actually do. Sora Kurumatani's relentless passion collides with the harsh reality of competitive play, while Momoharu Hanazono works to translate practice-floor progress into something that matters under pressure. The tone balances genuine excitement with vulnerability, these players want it badly, and the episode makes you feel every ounce of that desperation without guaranteeing anything.
