This anime is so underrated it breaks my heart. The concept behind it is so unreal it leaves me still guessing 'how?'. It's a must watch guys, this anime portrays so much, you absolutely must watch this gem.

Episode Context

As a standalone theatrical film, this serves as a definitive continuation of the original OVA series, scaling the franchise from episodic romantic comedy into a universe-threatening crisis. It functions as the ultimate stress test for Keiichi and Belldandy's bond, expanding the mythology while demanding familiarity with their established relationship. No sequel follows directly, making this a culminating statement for this era of the franchise.
