Aggretsuko (ONA) Episode 1: A Day in the Life of Retsuko

The pilot episode does a semi-decent job pacing itself while also not being longwinded or overdone, while it has cliche elements it uses them well to introduce the characters and world while making them feel relatable to a wider audience.

Competent pilot episode that uses a repetitive/formulaic structure in a clever-ish way. It mirrors the monotony of real office life. I understand why they moved away from it in later seasons but unfortunately the shift to complex plots didn’t land as well for me.
