Age Man to Fuku Chin
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Making it through the workday is the entire premise here for one regular office drone, except nothing about this office is remotely normal. His boss demands impromptu table dances mid-meeting, the secretary is slipping unknown substances into his coffee, and coworkers have apparently turned chair races into a legitimate competitive sport. By the time he drags himself home, the neighbors have somehow made things worse — one is running an unsanctioned home zoo, another is filing noise complaints, and the whole neighborhood operates at the same unhinged frequency as his workplace. There is no escape. There is only chaos. This is a one-episode OVA from 1991, the final entry in the Yaruki Manman series, so it drops you straight into the deep end of its absurd world without much setup. The animation leans into the comedy hard — loud colors, exaggerated expressions, the kind of visual energy that matches the material. It is not subtle, and it is not trying to be. If you enjoyed the workplace absurdity in Golden Boy or the unhinged energy of Detroit Metal City, this scratches a similar itch. It is a short, dense burst of office satire that treats corporate life as the low-grade disaster it probably is. Do not expect depth or character arcs — this is pure comedic chaos compressed into a single sitting, which is honestly the right format for it.
