The baseball in this episode was good, but the character drama was the real focus. Every pitch felt tied to Sawamura's insecurities >_<

Watching Sawamura try so hard to prove himself that he forgot how to pitch for the team was frustrating, but that's exactly what made the episode work.

Furuya really dropped six scoreless innings and casually left the mound like he didn't just create the worst possible pressure for the next pitcher 😭
