I liked her a lot as a lead right off the bat. She's not written as naive or overly plucky she's clearly overwhelmed by what she's walked into, but she doesn't hesitate to confront Sakyou directly, which says a lot about her character before we even get much backstory. The scene where she strikes the deal with him has a nice tension to it, even if you can tell from episode one how it's going to shake out.
