📖 SYNOPSIS

Based on the Japanese folk tale "The Mice's Sumo Tournament," this short film follows an elderly couple living a hard life in the mountains. One night, the old man witnesses a gathering of mice heading towards a sumo tournament. Discovering their home mice consistently lose, the couple decides to intervene. They begin preparing a special feast of saury fish dumplings and grilled tofu with miso sauce to boost their team's morale and strength. Furthermore, they craft new red sumo uniforms for their mice, hoping to inspire victory. The film explores themes of community, support, and the simple joys of life as the couple eagerly anticipates the next sumo games and the fate of their mice.
