The contrast between the rigid Yakuza life Ranmaru is used to and the freedom Al offers him under the Italian sun hit me hard. It is a bit cheesy, but I really felt for him when he started realizing his marriage was just a cage, and Al is the first person to actually look at him as more than a political tool.
