Honestly, the pacing felt a bit sluggish for me. The vibe was a bit too calming, almost to the point of being dull for me, so it didn’t quite hook my interest yet. Though the art style was great, still, since it’s only the first episode, maybe the next one will pull me into it.
The expressions especially the eyes really sell the emotions. It’s just a normal school setting, nothing flashy, but the vibe is quiet and a bit intense. It feels very character-focused rather than plot-heavy.
Honestly, I can kind of relate to the situation Hotaru is going through. It’s like I don’t feel worthy of loving or being loved, even though I really want to experience that. Plus, having someone like Hananoi come on to me... it really creates a huge internal conflict.
