EPISODE REVIEWS

Pacing is moving way too fast, probably burning through the source material because there is zero character chemistry or fun banter. The characters just say lines to get to the next plot point. Visually it looks terrible, you got long necks, huge shoulders, among others which is just ugly.

This episode slows down just enough to introduce new faces and hint at a bigger world beyond Alan's family drama. The village storyline is predictable, but Noelle immediately brings more personality to the cast. Still very much carried by Alan being absurdly overqualified for every situation.

The story pacing makes the anime awkward. And it lacks that emotional punch. I don't know. It's so cliche. I've seen this bunch of times in fantasy anime. There's nothing new.
