I get why they changed the AoT reference but I'm still bummed about it. The colossal titan gag was one of my favorite bits in the manga and the replacement just doesn't hit the same. Also the Yamame and Hakari moment feels random if you haven't read ahead. Still a fun episode but the cuts are starting to show as we near the finale.

The ramen shop owner VA is doing the most unhinged performance I've seen all season. Every defeat got funnier. Kurumi just eating that giant room-sized sphere in seconds was the perfect payoff. She polished off that thing like it was a snack and gave the most polite thank you. Peak comedy delivery all around.

The Mei and Yamame segment was my favorite pairing. Silent closed-eye maid completely immune to poison gas while the gentle giant beside her just collapses. Mei's deadpan delicious comment while purple fumes fill the shop was cold. I genuinely hope the show gives that duo more moments

Seeing Kishika join the family hit me harder than expected. She was this towering kendo champion who could take on sixteen people at once and then she just crumbles under Hahari's mom energy. The way she wept in embarrassment while Hahari had a full motherly bliss blackout was ridiculous and sweet

The way every girlfriend matched the shop owner's impossible ramen with their exact specific quirk was so satisfying. Spicy ramen beats toxic girl. Boiling ramen beats masochist. Hard meat loses to Momiji's acupressure. Its like watching puzzles solve themselves and the owner's despair just keeps growing

Kishika's voice actress absolutely nailed that switch from stern captain to the baby voice. That thumb-sucking reveal under the bridge had me howling. Also the soul floating visual gag with all 16 girls at once was insane

They skipped Hahari's solo date chapter and the hiking one to get here faster and it shows. The hot spring hijinks were fun but I wanted more character time for everyone else

Momiji eating foam donuts made Rentaro nosebleed again. This show is so stupid and I love it so much. The bubble cuddling scene was top tier

Nano being terrified of heights while Shizuka hugs her from behind to save them both was the purest thing this season. Meanwhile Hakari is out there groping Karane. Classic balance

Kishika's backstory landed harder than it should have. Six siblings and nobody ever let her be a kid. Rentaro patting her head and telling her it's okay to be babied broke something in me

That water jet sequence had no business looking that good for a gag. Frame count people were right

Kishika asking Rentaro to kill her then five seconds later thumb sucking in baby mode is exactly the tonal whiplash this show keeps getting away with and I respect it

Kishika's voice actress deserves a raise. That whiplash from ice-cold captain to drooling baby had me rewinding three times. The censorship debate is silly though - the anime kept it plenty suggestive without going full manga. Newcomers should just enjoy the chaos and stop clutching pearls about Chiyo too. This show knows exactly what it is.

I need to talk about the censorship debate because I read chapter 51 and the anime did soften some of Kishika's baby gags. I get why but the manga version was funnier. The Hahari adoption scene still worked though. Those two have some genuinely unhinged chemistry that translates perfectly to screen

Mimimi dodging curry drops like shes in a bullet time action movie while keeping her bib spotless was the most on-brand thing ever. Then Naddy reciting that impossible ramen name in one breath without shaking. The owner never stood a chance against this family and thats the whole joke

The ramen shop owner was the real star. His voice actor slowly losing his mind across every single challenge was pure comedy gold. When Kurumi just inhaled that giant food mountain I was wheezing. Dude ran off crying and honestly I dont blame him

I noticed the Colossal Titan parody from the manga got changed to something more generic. Copyright strikes again. Still funny but I wish they kept the original reference. That said the diamond ring ramen with Hahari just casually paying a million yen like it was pocket change made up for it

Hahari playing the long con with the fake referee bit had me dying. Kishika really thought she won that kiss and then got reduced to a drooling baby in seconds. The tonal whiplash of her going from kendo master to helpless toddler is exactly why this show is unhinged

Kishika's kendo battle royale was way better than it had any right to be for a harem comedy. She legit looked like a shonen protagonist wrecking all sixteen girlfriends at once. Then the baby reveal hits and everything I thought about her just flips completely. That contrast is so effective

I liked the episode even tho I don’t really like Naddy’s vibe. She is kinda weird with wanting everyone to be free and acting like American even tho she is a Japanese.
