Episode Context

A power outage forces Takiya and Fafnir out of their comfort zone in this compact, character-driven short. The spotlight shifts away from Kobayashi's household to the underrated bromance between a human otaku and an ancient dragon, testing their resourcefulness when their beloved gaming setup goes dark. The tone is light and playful, leaning into the comedic friction of a supernatural being confronting mundane inconvenience. Expect quick-witted exchanges and inventive problem-solving as the pair refuses to let a little thing like no electricity kill their competitive spirit. Pacing stays brisk and efficient, fitting for the short-form format, and the episode delivers on the series' signature warmth without overstaying its welcome. A fun palette cleanser that proves Fafnir and Takiya can carry a segment entirely on their own chemistry.
