That surprising backstory tied into this episode really caught me off guard, lol. Honestly, though, it made the character dynamics more interesting. I liked how this episode balanced lighthearted moments with a slightly bittersweet tone while gradually developing Gon and Killua’s characters.

Training arc! I really love episodes like this. The pacing felt normal here, but it was really entertaining seeing Biscuit with Gon and Killua. Their dynamic is silly but great, and I’m really liking the progression so far.

Gon is so pure that I just wanna hug that child 🥹 Anyway, I loved this episode. Biscuit Krueger is such an interesting character, and I already love her. Her dynamic with Killua was hilarious 😭 Overall, this episode was really enjoyable while the plot progressed smoothly.

Episode Context

Hunter x Hunter shifts gears here with the arrival of a new mentor figure who immediately disrupts the dynamic between Gon and Killua. Biscuit Krueger enters the picture as an eccentric, deceptively powerful Hunter whose training philosophy is anything but gentle. Expect a character-driven episode that balances grueling discipline with sharp comedic beats. Madhouse nails the tonal whiplash between lighthearted banter and genuine intensity. The pacing leans into the setup phase, establishing a new power dynamic and raising the stakes for what mastering Nen truly demands. Themes of mentorship, humility, and raw determination anchor the episode, and the evolving chemistry between the three characters gives it real energy. This is a foundational episode, one that rewards patience with the promise of serious payoff ahead.
