This episode still felt like setup for the climax of the arc. It was an okay episode—not amazing, but not bad either. Still, it managed to keep things interesting in my opinion.

Ooh, things are getting more interesting. I kinda like how the story’s progressing so far. This episode still felt like a setup for something big, though, which really makes you look forward to the next one.

This episode maintained its usual pacing, focusing more on dialogue that you really had to pay attention to since it seemed important to the storyline. It was a decent episode filled with tension and some wholesome moments for the main four.

Episode Context

Trust becomes a weapon in this tightly wound installment of the Yorknew City arc. The Phantom Troupe faces fractures from within as suspicion poisons their ranks, while Kurapika and his allies work to exploit every crack in the enemy's armor. This is a chess-match episode, don't expect explosive action sequences. Instead, the tension comes from layered conversations, shifting allegiances, and characters reading each other like open books while hiding their own hands. Chrollo's leadership is tested, Hisoka operates in his own orbit of chaos, and Kurapika's cold determination sharpens against the backdrop of high-stakes deception. Madhouse delivers atmosphere through restraint here, letting silence and glances carry as much weight as any Nen ability. Essential viewing for anyone invested in the psychological warfare that makes this arc legendary.
