Solid episode. They must steal tag IDs from targets for points. Cool concept. Gon’s target is Hisoka. Gave me goosebumps seeing Gon train to grab Hisoka’s ID. Can’t wait for next episode!

This feels like a video game tutorial level, but way more dangerous. The hunt on Zevil Island is a cool concept, and the stakes feel appropriately personal. It’s a good introduction to the new mechanic. Watch it, or you'll be confused later.

Episode Context

The Hunter Exam shifts into its most dangerous format yet. Episode 14 drops the examinees onto Zevil Island for a survival challenge built on a deceptively simple premise: hunt your assigned target, protect yourself from whoever's hunting you. The tone pivots sharply from the confined puzzles of Trick Tower to open wilderness tension, where every rustle in the brush could mean confrontation. Expect a slower, more cerebral pace as Gon, Killua, and the remaining candidates size up their situations, weigh risks, and form plans. The psychological weight of being both predator and prey simultaneously creates a thick atmosphere of paranoia. Hisoka's presence looms over the proceedings like a storm cloud. This is setup done right, strategic groundwork layered with genuine unease that rewards patient viewers.
