Let's gooo! That ending just made everything more thrilling. This episode leaned more into showing the characters' schemes, which made it really thought-provoking. I'm really loving the story so far now that we're getting closer and closer to the end!

Pouf's freaking unhinged, and not in a good way. No wonder he annoyed me so much. 😭 A little slow, but full of tension and high stakes (for Pouf, lol). I really liked the progression here, plus I got to see Killua shining. Literally (?)

I liked the story flow here. There wasn't much fighting, and it focused more on motives and schemes. I felt a little impatient waiting for Meruem, but setting that aside, that cliffhanger at the end really hyped up the next episode!

Episode Context

Deep into the Chimera Ant arc's endgame, episode 129 delivers a masterclass in tension. This is Hunter x Hunter at its most cerebral and ruthless, characters are locked into confrontations where raw power alone won't determine the outcome. Expect a relentless pace that alternates between visceral combat and the psychological chess matches the series excels at. The stakes feel impossibly high, with every decision carrying weight that could tip the balance of the entire operation. Madhouse's animation work shines in both the quieter strategic moments and the explosive action beats. The episode leans heavily into themes of resolve, sacrifice, and the cost of facing enemies who operate on a completely different level. If the arc's escalating dread has had you gripped, this installment tightens that hold considerably.
