‎Here we gooo! We're getting so close to the climax of this arc. This episode served as a setup for that, building anticipation and leaving me wanting more!

‎This episode set the stage for an iconic fight. It was a bit slow-paced, but it was really good. Meruem got some surprising depth here. His character became more complex, and it really made me think.

‎I liked this episode! The way everything was laid out was really good. The animation was great too, especially that scene with Netero and Meruem. The next episode is going to be SO exciting!

Episode Context

This is Hunter x Hunter at its most cerebral and electrifying. Episode 122 strips everything down to two titans, Chairman Netero and the Chimera Ant King Meruem, facing each other in isolation, and the result is breathtaking. The pacing is deliberately measured, giving weight to every word exchanged and every stance taken. Expect heavy philosophical dialogue exploring power, purpose, and what it means to be human, delivered with the gravity that only this arc can muster. Madhouse's direction turns stillness into tension, making the quiet moments hit as hard as any action sequence. This is the kind of episode that rewards patience and close attention, functioning as both a character study and a strategic chess match. The emotional and intellectual stakes have never been higher.
