‎This action-packed episode made the arc even more enjoyable to watch. I liked where things were heading. Unexpectedly, I understood this episode more because of the narration, even if it was a little annoying. 😆

‎This episode felt a little faster-paced because of the fight scenes. There were several intense moments that made it more enjoyable to watch. Other than that, it still leaned heavily on dialogue—well, mostly narration.

‎I really liked this episode, especially its focus on Knuckle and Morel's dynamic. I was really impressed with Morel. The man is built different! 🙌 Anyway, that ending really cemented how much Pouf annoys me. 🥲

Episode Context

Episode 120 of Hunter x Hunter delivers one of the series' most cerebral installments during what is widely regarded as its most intense arc. The title says it all, deception is the currency here, and every character is spending it freely. Expect a deliberately paced episode that rewards close attention, as strategic gambits and psychological warfare take center stage over raw combat. The tension is suffocating in the best way, with layers of misdirection forcing both characters and viewers to question what's genuine and what's a façade. Madhouse's direction leans into tight framing and loaded silences, amplifying the paranoia. This is Hunter x Hunter operating at peak intellectual intensity, where a single bluff carries more weight than a thousand punches. Essential viewing for anyone invested in the tactical chess match this arc has become.
