This episode had a tense atmosphere and felt like everyone was preparing for war. Well, they actually were. 😭 Anyway, I really loved how this episode built toward the next one as it approached a major turning point in the arc. I'm completely seated for what's coming next!

Ooh, the major battle is almost here! Things are getting exciting, and I'm completely here for it. The story flow remained steady, gradually moving everything forward while maintaining the tension. It did a great job building anticipation for the next episode.

Dang, Knov, my man, what happened to you? 🙁 Aside from that, why am I enjoying the fact that the King is having an existential crisis? Lmao. I really liked the progression in this episode, and it feels like the next one is going to be REALLY exciting.

Episode Context

This is Hunter x Hunter at its most cerebral and tension-laden. Episode 109 is a deliberate, methodical chapter that trades action for atmosphere, centering on the Extermination Team as they finalize every detail of their palace infiltration strategy. The episode thrives on psychological weight, each character carries the gravity of what's coming, and the writing makes you feel every ounce of it. Expect introspection, quiet resolve, and the kind of strategic depth that defines the Chimera Ant arc at its best. Themes of duty, mortality, and the cost of commitment run throughout, giving the episode a contemplative, almost meditative quality. The pacing is slow and purposeful, building pressure like a coiled spring. This is the calm before the storm, and it earns every second of stillness by making you dread what follows.
