That opening goes HARD; you don't usually see that kind of heavy rock in openings anymore. Despite having several of the pitfalls of older anime, the premise is interesting. We have a protagonist who's a doormat for everyone around her, and cool guys who have the whole school smitten and do cool things. Moving beyond those tropes, which don't necessarily make a series bad, the premise is interesting: two guys have to complete missions for a second chance, and we have some pretty cool moments, like when Chika and Shito summon their weapons and fight. For now, we're just seeing what it's all about and how Michiru's character development will be, so this episode is more about setting the stage for what's to come. It's not a bad episode, but I want to believe the best is yet to come.
