Zoku Koihime
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Back in his childhood village, Musashi carries no memory of the four princess-friends he grew up with — or anything that apparently happened between them. The village feels familiar in that vague, dreamlike way places do when you can't quite place why, and his grandmother's house pulls at something buried deep. Then he meets Tamamo, a girl who insists she knows him, and he has absolutely nothing to offer back. That setup — a guy surrounded by people who remember everything about him while he remembers nothing — is genuinely compelling, and the supernatural fog hanging over the village gives it an eerie, unsettling texture that goes beyond a standard harem premise. This is a 2-episode OVA from 2001 by Studio Hibari, adapted from a visual novel, so it moves fast and leans hard into its adult content. If you've watched Koihime Musō and wanted something with a darker, more intimate tone, or if Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin's blend of fantasy and explicit content appeals to you, this sits in similar territory. The amnesia angle keeps things from feeling purely mechanical — there's actual tension in not knowing who these people are or what you owe them. Just go in knowing what kind of show it is. It doesn't hide what it's offering.
