This is the episode that makes the entire franchise worth watching. The thematic parallels to Madoka Magica are unmistakable, but Yuna's choice is different . She chooses life over sacrifice, humanity over transcendence. The animation is gorgeous, the callback to past Heroes is emotional, and the Great Mankai transformation is stunning.
