📖 SYNOPSIS

The world of Duel Monsters takes a dramatic turn with the introduction of Link Vrains, a digital network that transforms the landscape of dueling. This new cyberspace allows duelists to create avatars and engage in intense battles within a virtual reality environment, offering endless possibilities for strategy and excitement. Along with the creation of Link Vrains, the game introduces a new summoning mechanic called Link Summoning, which revolutionizes the way duelists approach their decks and tactics. Yet, even in this advanced digital realm, peace is a fleeting illusion. The virtual world is not immune to the struggles that plague the real one. Years ago, a hacker group called the Knights of Hanoi launched an assault on Link Vrains. Their mission, led by the mysterious figure Revolver, was to destroy the Cyberse, an artificial intelligence program that controls the network. The group’s efforts were thwarted, but in the chaos, Ignis, a program connected to the Cyberse, managed to escape and hide the Cyberse within the depths of the network. Now, five years later, high school student Yuusaku Fujiki stumbles upon an unusual artificial intelligence while participating in a duel in Link Vrains. Assuming the role of his avatar, Playmaker, Yuusaku becomes entangled in a battle for the truth surrounding a past incident that holds the key to his own mysterious history. Together with his trusted ally, Shouichi Kusanagi, and his new AI companion, Yuusaku faces off against the formidable Knights of Hanoi and the powerful corporation, SOL Technologies. As the stakes rise, Yuusaku finds himself at the center of a conflict that could determine the fate of both the digital and real worlds.
