The first episode was pretty chaotic from the get-go and there was no character introduction until that cliffhanger. The 3-minute-long narration from the start was dull with some still frames along with it. Hence, the animation was classic and good, and the action was intense. It's just that the plot line was all over the place. The announcer's voice echoing in that town was quite eerie. Glad to hear Yuki Kaji aka Eren as the Chief!
