Synopsis

The moment her eyes snap open, Nira finds herself in a world that doesn't want her to sit still. From the first frame, she's running through a surreal nightscape filled with mechanical creatures, collapsing dimensions, and abstract obstacles that feel less like a fantasy setting and more like the inside of someone's head at 3 AM. There's no dialogue, no exposition — just ZUTOMAYO's signature slap-bass-driven J-rock track dictating every movement, every scene transition, every moment of panic and quiet dread. This is a music video, one episode, maybe four minutes of your life, and it packs more visual storytelling into that runtime than some full series manage across a whole season. The animation is dense and fluid, with Nira weaving through environments that shift and morph in sync with the music. The whole thing plays like a visual metaphor for a sleepless night — anxiety manifesting as literal monsters she has to outrun before dawn. It's melancholic and frantic at the same time, which is a hard tone to nail, but it lands. If you liked the emotional gut-punch of Shelter, or the way Eve's "How to Eat Life" turns a music video into a full narrative experience, this is in that lineage. There's also a bit of FLCL energy here — that same willingness to throw logic out the window and let music and motion carry the story. It's a tiny commitment with a surprisingly big payoff.
